TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Reservations for accommodation are accepted by Kaunos Villas on behalf of the property owners, on the following conditions:-

The hire of the property is between the hirer (guest) and the property owner.  Kaunos Villas act only as agents.

The booking is deemed to have been made once the guest has completed the booking form, paid the deposit and Kaunos Villas have despatched a confirmation of booking.

For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival, a deposit of 30% of the property price is required.  The balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday commences, without further demand.  If the balance payment is not received by the date due on the Booking Confirmation Form, Kaunos Villas, at their discretion, reserves the right to make the property available for re-booking.  This does not release the guest from their obligation.  It is possible to secure bookings by telephone using a Credit or Debit Card.

Properties are available for occupation from 4pm (occasionally later) on the first day of the holiday and must be vacated by 10am on the last day.  In some circumstances it may be possible to stay on at the property until closer to flight time.  However this has to be arranged with Kaunos Villas and is at their discretion if no other party is due to arrive.

The guest and party must use the property responsibly and comply with any reasonable rules laid down by the owner.  If the owner does not communicate any such rules to you, you must assume that normal rules (such as consideration for neighbours) apply.

No more than the maximum number of persons stated on the website and included on the booking form may occupy a property unless by prior written agreement with Kaunos Villas.  Extra charges may be applicable.

The guest must keep the property clean and in good order and will be responsible for any damages or breakages.  During the period of tenancy the guest is responsible for the care of the property and its contents.  It is expected that guests treat the property with the respect that they treat their own and leave the property and its fixtures and fittings in a clean and tidy condition, including disposal of rubbish.  Kaunos Villas reserve the right on behalf of the owner to collect a breakages deposit of £200.  This deposit will be refunded to the guest once the property has been checked on departure, but a deduction will be made for any breakages or damages done to the property or if it is not left in a clean and tidy condition, including rubbish/waste disposal.  The sum of £30 will be deducted for cleaning if this is the case.

Once a booking has been accepted by Kaunos Villas it can only be changed to either another property or different dates by treating the original booking as a cancellation.  Holiday dates may be changed providing the property is available for the new dates and the owner is agreeable to the change.  A £20 Administration Fee will be payable.

Kaunos Villas have inspected the standard of facilities in all properties but cannot accept responsibility for any changes made by the owner since the inspection, or failure by the owner to keep the property dry, clean and in good repair.

Kaunos Villas acts as booking agent only and cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injury to the guest or any member of the guests party or for any loss or damage to their properties. Kaunos Villas recommends that guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance before departure.  We reserve the right to dispose of any guests personal belongings, after the departure day of the guests from the property without further reference to the guests.

Kaunos Villas reserve the right to refuse any booking and to cancel on behalf of the owner any booking already made if the property is unavailable (ie. Through fire, flood etc) for any reason whatsoever subject to a full refund of all monies paid less a £20 Administration Fee.  In the unlikely event of a cancellation, Kaunos Villas will make every possible effort to secure alternative accommodation if required.

Cancellation takes effect only when notification is received by Kaunos Villas from the person who has made the rental agreement.  Cancellation notification applies from the date we receive the notification.  For cancellation until 90 days prior to the arrival date there is a charge of 15% of the total rental amount.  From 89 days to 60 days a loss of 20%.  From 59 days to 30 days a loss of 40%.  From 29 days to 15 days a loss of 65%.  From 14 days to non arrival a loss of 100%.  We strongly recommend that clients take out appropriate travel insurance in order to be covered for cancellation.

Should the cancellation be for reasons not covered by the insurance, the booking is forfeit and the balance is still payable on the due day. Kaunos Villas will immediately endeavour to re-let the property and, if successful, will refund the deposit and balance less £20 Administration Fee.

We cannot accept liability or responsibility for any alterations, delay or cancellation or any other loss or damage caused by war, civil strife, terrorist action, industrial disputes, fire, sickness, bad weather, epidemics, acts of any government, or public authority, changes imposed by re-scheduling of airlines or any event outside our control.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Bookings

Initially please check the availability calendar of the property you have chosen.  If it is available please contact Kaunos Villas to make a reservation.  We will notify you by email that your reservation has been accepted and you then have five days in which to forward a deposit.  The deposit takes the form of 30% of the total amount due and payment must be made by credit or debit card.  We require the long number and the expiry date.  This can be sent via email in two separate messages (for security purposes) or over the telephone. We will then forward you a confirmed booking email once payment has been processed.  The balance of the holiday in full is due for payment eight weeks before the start of your vacation (this date will be specified on your confirmed booking form).

You will have the opportunity to book return transfers from Dalaman Airport when making the reservation.  Please ask for prices.

Cot and/or high chairs may be available in some properties.  If the property does not offer these, Kaunos Villas may be able to hire them out at £3.00 per item per day.  No cot bedding is available.

Bed linen, towels and tea towels may or may not be provided.  Beach towels are not provided.  Please check individual property descriptions carefully.

Please let us know immediately if there are any specific needs you may have including disability needs.  We will endeavour to advise and assist in any way.  Some properties/locations to not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment.  Kaunos Villas have a wheelchair that can be hired out for £4.00 per day which is used at the guests own risk.

The swimming pools are normally open from April to October.  At all times, you and your group must use the pool in a correct manner, according to the rules of the owner, and taking normal safety precautions.  Children are not allowed to use the pool unsupervised.  The property owner and Kaunos Villas cannot accept responsibility for your safety.

Complaints must be made immediately by telephone or in person to the owner or his representative in order that we may do as much as possible to rectify the problem you have.  Complaints made after the end of your rental period cannot be taken into consideration.

The property must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of your departure.  Arrangements may possibly by made for you to stay on at the villa but purely at the discretion of Kaunos Villas. To allow for cleaning entrance may not be gained before 4.00pm unless prior arrangements have been made with Kaunos Villas.

All passports and visas are the responsibility of the client.  British citizens require a Turkish Visa which is obtained online on  https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ and costs $20.00 (may be subject to change).  Kaunos Villas does not accept responsibility for any delays or expenses incurred if a client’s documentation is irregular.

If you are hiring a car please ensure your driving licence is valid and complies with all local requirements.

If your behaviour, or that of your party, is in our opinion or that of any other authority, disruptive, dangerous or annoying to other people or property then you will be told to vacate the property immediately.  Kaunos Villas is not liable for any costs incurred by yourself or your party.
